- extremely low prices
- 24/7 customer support
- deceptive information on the site
- no FAQ or “Writers” page
- not many testimonials (only six of them)
When I look for a new writing service or online shop, I always check whether the site is taken care of. There are a few ways to find out the level of interest in the website. First of all, the blog should be filled with informative articles that are posted regularly. Second, the information about the service should be up to date. Finally, customer support should work 24/7 and react to any request quickly.
I experienced only the last indicator on 99papers.com, and it wasn’t a good sign. After a full analysis of the service, I understood that I wasn’t going to order any sample from them. I also decided to write this 99papers review to share my observations. Below, you’ll find both advantages and disadvantages of the service, and you’ll be able to make your decision.
99papers Review: Website Content, Blog, and Samples
When you visit a site that offers web design services, you can’t ignore how this site looks. A reasonable person wouldn’t buy such a service from a company that can’t even create a good-looking site for its own needs.
The same rule applies to academic writing services. But you are not evaluating the design, but the quality of the website’s content. The best way is to check the samples of essays and other academic papers if there are any. I checked a few on the 99papers site, and they weren’t bad. The writers did make a few formatting mistakes, but that doesn’t matter.
Samples were decent, but when I clicked the “Blog” button, I was surprised — and not in a good way. They have only five articles! According to the statistics, this site has been active since 2016, and they’ve managed to make only five posts. Besides, these articles have nothing to do with academic writing or college life.
But the blog isn’t the worst thing. Maybe they don’t have time for it. Another thing that I hate on sites is a lack of information. When I buy products online, I don’t have the opportunity to communicate with the seller directly. I need information about the writers and the company itself. 99papers doesn’t have a page with FAQ or data about their specialists.
In such circumstances, I can’t trust the writing service or recommend it to anyone.
99papers Review: Pricing Policy
Affordable prices are the most attractive advantage of 99papers. Prices for samples start from $9, and the service also offers a 5% discount for the first order. They may also have a customer loyalty program because the order form contains a coupon code field, but I couldn’t find any information.
The price depends on three criteria:
- Academic level — High School, Undergraduate (1st and 2nd year), Undergraduate (3rd and 4th year), Master’s, and PhD
- Number of pages
- Spacing — single or double
- Deadline — from 3 hours to 15+ days
Low prices are attractive, but let’s be honest: you can’t expect good quality for a dime. A customer pays $20 for a 2-page essay, but only a part of this payment will be transferred to the writer’s account. I’m not sure that professional writers would work for peanuts.
On the main page, I found a statement: “We can offer paper writers from top U.S. and U.K. universities.” And the list of the universities is below:
I don’t think that graduates or even students of Yale, Berkeley, Cambridge, or Columbia University would work for less than $10 per hour. It doesn’t seem like a beneficial side job for students of the most prestigious colleges in the world.
This marketing trick may work for some visitors, but for others, it’s a clear indicator of a dishonest content manager.
99papers Review: Order Form and Additional Features
When I took a look at the “How it works” page, I was confused. I saw the following excerpt:
It was suggested that the service is based on the bidding system, and I can pick the expert by myself. But when I applied to customer support, I got this answer:
Obviously, the instruction on the site isn’t full or clear for customers. Anyway, I continued my journey and went to the order page. All the fields are quite standard: academic level, type of service, writer level, etc.
I was shocked by the prices for additional features:
- Plagiarism report — $10
- Editor’s check — $5
- Copy of sources — $10
Why do customers need a plagiarism report or editor’s check if the service guarantees 100% unique samples and qualified writers? I think that these features are simply a way to get more money for nothing.
99papers Review: Online Reputation
You always have to check feedback before ordering from a new service. 99papers doesn’t have a separate page with testimonials. I’ve found only six of them on the main page, and, of course, all of them are positive. I decided to check popular review sites, and the picture was contradictory.
Trustpilot and Sitejabber give 99papers high grades — approximately 9/10. Scamfighter and Awriter aren’t as kind, and they give only two or three stars. Unfortunately, there is no way to find whether the comments are real or fake.
99papers Review: Recommendations
After all, I can’t say that 99papers is a scam service. They provide guarantees and use safe payment systems. But I’m also not sure that you’ll be satisfied with the quality of the samples. If you want, place a test order and evaluate the service for yourself. I would love to read some of your 99papers reviews!
