General Rating: 6/10
PaperHelp is one of the academic writing services available on the web. The cosmic design hasn’t left me indifferent (I’m in love with space, you know). I want to share with you my PaperHelp org reviews from my own experience with this service. I’ve tried to be as objective as I could, but it’s impossible to write this review without getting emotional.
If you are like me and use writing services, hold on – let’s start the review!
My eyes were pleased with the neat design and functional interface. On the main page you can see that the service has existed since 2008, but the amount of Paper Help reviews and Facebook activity signals that the service is lying, or trying to reduce a poor reputation from the past. From one side, PaperHelp has a nice design and various attractive discounts. But is it worth it to use this service? Let’s look closer at its services.
Prices and Discounts
The prices start from $12 per page for a high school paper. If you need a higher degree or shorter deadline, the price will be higher. These prices are quite general for writing services.
The scheme with discounts is muddy. The pop-up window offers a chance to win a discount for first-time clients. You give them your email and spin the wheel. I don’t know about other users that have tried to win, but I’ve easily gotten 7% off. One thing is bad – the code is valid for 15 minutes only. What if I plan to use the service later or I take a long time to fill in the order form? The discount loses its sense completely.
At the top of the page you can read that you can save 15% on the first order (5% instant discount + 10% bonus). Does it count with the bonus you get in the spin wheel?
And last, when you make an order you need to pay extra money for a plagiarism report (who checks it?), abstract, extra attention, or a top quality writer. If you want all these additional services you will pay more than $45. For example, you will pay $28 for a 2-page college essay. With extra services, it will cost you more than $75.
You can contact customer support via Skype, Facebook Messenger, online chat, or by phone. It depends on your convenience. The service claims that its customer support department is available 24/7. The only thing I can say – you can get old and grey by the time support will provide a response to your issue.
It was quite hard to find all the service guarantees. All that I have collected you can see below:
- Timely delivery
- Money-back guarantee
- Original papers
- 24/7 customer support
- Confidentiality policy
- Free title and reference pages, three revisions, and formatting according to required citation style
These points consist of general information and have many peculiarities. I have read their money-back guarantee page and it seems quite hard to get your funds back if you are not satisfied with the service.
The main page says that the service collaborates with professional writers. Well, well. In the FAQ I’ve found that writers are from English-speaking countries, but this doesn’t prove they have a high level of English. Also, they have at least a BA degree. If you want a native speaker or top writer – pay extra money. All this seems nice, but the reality is sad. Most of my classmates are native speakers, but many of them write awful essays.
You can’t be sure of each writer’s professionalism, as you need to make an extra payment for a better writer or attention. Do you need this?
PaperHelp.org Reviews from Customers
On the main page, you can even find video reviews by “real” students. It all seems so fake, that I can’t find appropriate words for this. It’s obvious that they were paid. I doubt whether these people have done this to get 10% off their orders or if they have ordered papers at all. With such reviews, they just disgrace their service.
Also, you can find a page with customer reviews just clicking “See all testimonials.” There are only seven PaperHelp.org reviews from people that were available at the time of my visit to the website. And all of them look suspicious. You can see that the service has written reviews by themselves or picked the nicest feedback from their users.
- Various discounts and loyalty program
- Low price
- Money-back guarantee
- Chat with the writer
- Updates about your order via SMS, email, or application
- 24/7 support
- You pay before getting the paper
- Can’t pick the writer
- Slow customer support
- Only three free revisions.
- Can’t upload additional materials in the order form
- No quick order
- Very little customer feedback
My Own Experience
Inspired with the design and discounts, I decided to use this service. It was quite easy to make an order, but it was inconvenient to send additional files. It took more than 10 minutes to be able to contact my writer and send him the files. The service withdrew money from my account and the work was started.
I received a finished paper by the due date. It had a classical essay structure, title page, and references. But the writer failed to follow my requirements. The paper was not formatted with the required MLA style and the sources were far from primary. Citing Wikipedia? Are you kidding?! And lastly – the essay had no conclusion at all. I waited a long time for a revision and nearly missed the deadline. The final version of the essay was a little better but still awful.
Overall Score: 30/50
All that glitters is not gold. If you want your writer to ignore your requirements – use PaperHelp. If you like tortoise-like service – it’s for you. I have wasted $35 for nothing. I thought about requesting a partial refund but didn’t want to be in the headstone business anymore.
