My Rating: 4/10
- affordable prices
- horrible design
- lack of information
- expensive extras
- you can’t pick the writer
A big range of options creates a problem of choice. The Internet offers dozens of academic writing services with similar quality, pricing policies, and benefits. The only way to pick the best one of them is to analyze their terms, testimonials, and websites thoroughly.
Fortunately, some sites will frighten you away at once, and you don’t have to spend your precious time analyzing and comparing them. This happened to me when I saw the design of PremierEssay.com.
How do you like it? According to Web.Archive.org, this site opened in 2009. Perhaps, it hasn’t changed since that moment. The contrasted colors and the abundance of fonts, texts, and textures annoy and distract. This main page looks exactly like the painting made by an untalented five-year-old.
Someone less curious or stubborn would leave and forget about this parody of a website forever. But not me! I decided to compose a detailed PremierEssay review and share all the details that I’ve found.
PremierEssay Review: Prices and Discounts
Despite the monstrosity of the site’s design, many visitors will go further to check the prices. I don’t blame anyone for being practical, as thorough budget planning is essential. The pricing policy on PremierEssay is reasonable. Prices start from $12.99 per page.
The cost of the paper depends on the academic level, number of pages, and the deadline. If you want to get a cheaper sample, place your order in advance.
The service also offers a bunch of discounts:
In addition, you get 20% off for the first order. Returning customers have even more opportunities to get the discount. The first option is a referral program. If you recommend the service to a new client, you’ll get a 15% discount. The site promises that there are special discounts (holiday and seasonal) that frequently appear on the Discounts page. However, I did not find anything.
PremierEssay Review: Order Process
Even though PremierEssay offers affordable prices, you might be surprised by the cost of additional features:
- Originality report — $29.99
I don’t know why customers have to pay thirty dollars for a plagiarism report if the service guarantees plagiarism-free papers in the first place.
- Proofread by an expert — $5 per page
Once again, PremierEssay guarantees that they employ MA/MS and PhD writers only.
Why do experts with academic degrees need help from the editor? Apparently, this feature is one more way to make customers pay extra.
- Paper summary — $12.99
This is one of the features I would pay for if I didn’t have time to get ready for a presentation. After all, $12.99 is a fair price for one page of text if it’s well-structured.
- Rush writer search — $14.99
They promise that the writer will be found in a few minutes after you place the order. I didn’t check this feature because I didn’t want to share my personal info. Anyway, I haven’t found any information about how fast they find the writer without this additional service.
- Draft delivery — +15%
Getting a draft is a good option to control the writing process. However, I don’t understand why a customer has to pay for this. On other writing services, students have the opportunity to ask for a preview to check the language skills of the writer.
- Preferred writer — +20%
If you’ve ordered more than once, you have the opportunity to request a specific writer. That makes sense. But why pay 20% more? When you go to a beauty salon, no one will ask you to pay more if you hire the same hairdresser. And I don’t know why this rule doesn’t work for PremierEssay.
PremierEssay Review: Testimonials and Online Reputation
Comments from customers are an excellent way to check the quality of the service. As a rule, I don’t trust the testimonials that are published on the site. They’re moderated and polished by the company, and you’ll never find even one negative comment. The Testimonials page on the PremierEssay site looks like this:
“Great experience, the best, very helpful” — these are the most popular phrases on this page.
I wasn’t satisfied with such unanimity. The internet gave me another result.
While TrustPilot, SiteJabber, and BestWritersOnline praise the PremierEssay writing service, IHateWritingEssays and ResellerRatings give it only one star. Of course, I was intrigued.
IHateWritingEssays accuses PremierEssay of being a scam site, having an unfair refund policy, and providing poorly written papers. I recommend checking this wordy review to know more details.
ResellerRatings has published four comments from different people: two of them are positive, and the other two are negative. The negative stories are very long and filled with outrage and anger. I would never order anything from PremierEssay after reading these reviews.
Unfortunately, I can’t answer the question, “Is PremierEssay legit?” with 100% confidence. But I wouldn’t risk my money and personal information anyway.
PremierEssay Review: Privacy
Another thing that I didn’t like about this service is that you have to share your name and phone number. As a rule, writing services require only an e-mail address to send invoices and order information. PremierEssay also doesn’t provide any explanations of how they use your phone number.
I prefer websites that collect as little information as possible.
PremierEssay Review: Conclusion
Even if PremierEssay doesn’t freak you out with the website’s design and interface, you should be aware of other cons of this service. You can’t pick the writer by yourself or find any information about the experts. There are plenty of negative comments from customers on the Internet. And all the additional features are expensive or unnecessary.
